Dr. Balov is a board-certified family medicine physician and graduate of A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ. She completed her residency training in Tucson where she also served as the chief resident of her class and was recognized with the “Practice Improvement” award at graduation. She completed her undergraduate career at UCLA where she studied psychobiology. Dr. Balov is a strong advocate for a healthy mind and body utilizing preventative medicine and nutrition. She also strives to improve her patient’s current chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. Dr. Balov is unequivocally committed to the health of her patients through education and communication – knowledge is power! In her free time, you can find Dr. Balov traveling with her family, going to Pilates, and listening to audiobooks.
Mary O’Brien is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Mary has attended Chamberlain College of Nursing where she graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Nursing. After graduating, she became a nurse at Phoenix Children’s Hospital for 5 years. While being a full-time nurse at PCH, she again attended Chamberlain where she graduated with a Masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her career in the Urgent Care setting but came to realize she wanted to make more personal connections with her patients. She elected to take her passion for medical care to Family Practice.
Mary is a native to Arizona and grew up in Scottsdale. After graduating, she moved to Gilbert. She has 2 beautiful children, one daughter and one son. She has two German Shepherd mixed dogs. She loves to get outdoors when she can and her favorite days are when she can relax at home with her family.
Lyndsey worked as a nurse for 13 years specializing in cardiac surgery, while also spending 5 years in forensics and as an aesthetic injector. Feeling like she was missing that patient interaction and follow-up, she sought out continued education to become a nurse practitioner. She received her bachelor of science In nursing as well as her masters of science in nursing - family nurse practitioner from the university of Phoenix. Lyndsey has a strong passion for empowering women to take control of their health.
Lyndsey is an Arizona native (rise up Red Sea!) with two young daughters and husband that keep her very busy. She loves spending time with her family outdoors. On her days off, you can find Lyndsey camping, riding her horses, paddle boarding, or snowboarding. Life is too short to sit still.
Clara Goodman, PA-C is a physician assistant serving patients at our Gilbert clinic. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, before completing physician assistant training at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.
As a member of the HealthyU Clinics team, Clara enjoys working with her colleagues and getting to know her patients. She wants every patient to leave their appointment feeling confident in the care they received, a goal she achieves by listening carefully to their concerns and discussing available treatment options. She works with patients to help them achieve their health goals.
In her free time, Clara enjoys spending time with her husband and son, extended family, and friends. She also enjoys hiking, camping, baking, traveling, and tackling various projects.
